Well as you can see this Socialist General is completed. When for the green for the uniform as in the past socialist groups used green as a uniform and symbol and it seemed fitting. I am very happy with the way its turned out and I wonder if anyone can guess who he is based on?
Now back to doing Confederate States Army state flags.

Hello there once again, here is the next illutsration on the list, this time its a General for the Socialsts forces. We wanted him to look "modern" for the 1930s at least and so went for trouser as opposed to riding breeches and boots. Also I have semi based him on a famous ex army officer politican from the period, see if you can guess who? So here is the picture.

I have finished the Commissar and I have to say I think he is very nice. So stayed away from the usual stars and hammers emblem and went with the clenched fist. Actually there is lots of historical precedence for the clenched fist as a sign of british socialism. So here is the finished Commissar for you all. Just five move to finish the book.

I have finished this fellow and I have to say I am rather pleased with the results. Maybe I am developing my style or the fact I send too long looking at 30s paintings and photos, but I really think I am capturing the 30s looks. Here is the picture for you to decide.
This was a special figure you received at Partizan I this year and he is King Edward VIII, which is apt for VBCW. Its a lovely figure, well scuplted and a joy to paint. Wallis will be the next special figure at Partizan II in September which I cant wait to get. Here's a couple of photos of him.
