The Finished Norfolk Poacher

Here is the finished Poacher/ Smuggler from the Norfolk area,I have gone with a tweed hacking suit, woolen socks and boots. He carried an RIC Enfield as well as a pistol and a bag of "goods". Here is the picture.

The Clarion Cycle Club

As I said here a bit on the Clarion Cycle club.

The Clarion Cycling Club was founded in February 1894 by six young cyclists who were members of the Bond Street Labour Church in Birmingham. Their aim was to ‘combine the pleasures of cycling with the propaganda of Socialism’. The next twelve months saw similar Cycling Clubs being formed by readers of The Clarion newspaper in many other industrial towns. The first Easter Meet of Clarion Cycling Clubs held in Ashbourne (1895) led to the formation of the National Clarion Cycling Club. The object was to be ‘the association of the various Clarion Cycling Clubs for the purpose of Socialist propaganda and for promoting inter-club runs between the clubs of different towns’.

New Sketech, The Clarion Cyclists

Hi there, here is the latest sketch for the People's Army by Paul Cunningham. Once this is finished there will is only six to goes, :) Yippee. He is from the socialists movement called the Clarion, I'll post more in this later. By the 1930s only the cyclist clubs were left. Here is the sketch.

The Tigers TA

I have managered to finish off me first rifle section of the Tigers TA for my VBCW game. The figures are from Bolt Action Miniatures at Warlord Games and I have to say are quite nice. They are really for the late war but I am using them for my regular and TA Units though I might add some WWI troopers in too.

She is Finished

Yes I have finished the anarchist girl and I am quite happy with her. I gave her a knitted beret in the end, all the rage in the 30s, in the anarchist movement colours of red and back. Hope you like her.

Here is the latest Stage

Here is the latest stage the young girl is at. As you can see its close to being finished, just a question on the colour to do her beret.

New Picture is Starting

Well beside the very poor gammer in the title, I have started the next illustration for the People's Army book and carrying on with the petty girls of the left theme here is the next one. This time its an Anarchists Militia girl with Thompson SMG. Now steady on is what you thinking and what she has clothes on, etc, etc, I know I was tempted, but I didnt think it would suit the 1930s. So here she is.

Left Wing Politics Has Just Got Sexier

Here is a lovely, wonderful Independent Labour Party Militia member who likes to snipe at her political opponents. I am very happy she has turned out and even more happy that you actually looks like a lady and not my usual man in drag. Now to work on some flags for Simon at Solway and then back to adding more to the VBCW campaign for Leicestershire and more on the People's Armies book.
