Tonight I am off to Bosworth Field to do a Ghost Walk and hopefully see Uncle Dickie, thats Richard III. Should be a laugh and I just hope it doesn't rain or else its the Somme. I am hoping that the visitor centre win be open and it should be a cracking evening.

Weasels from Mutton Chop

Taking a couples days off from painting I have done some more to my VBCW force. This time I have finished the Weasels from Mutton Chop Miniatures and as you have no doubt guested they are based on Wind in the Willows, see early posts for Toadie, Ratey, Badger and Moley. Now all I need is Mr Hicks to produce some commanders and other support elements. They are a joy to paint and here they are.

Aye The Bonnie Lad

Well he is nearing the completion with only the sword, pistol, buckles and some highlights on the white to do, then he is finished. Aye the Bonnie Lad will then be done. I have really enjoyed this illustration but after this its back to VBCW and a special project for Christmas, more on this later.

Highland Jacobite on the Charge

I have finished the taran off now and I am veru happy with the results. The majority of the chap is completed now and its only the belts, stubs, buckets and shield to go.

Scottish Highland Jacobite

Tartan Army

Well I am taking a very short break from painting all the blooming tartan. I am happy so far with the result but the main body of the kilt is still to be finihsed. The person that I am doing the painting for has requested the kilt to be in Government Sett, thats Black Watch to me, so the green is still to be added. I am having great fun with this so far. So here he is.

Another Jacobite

Yes its like buses you wait for ages and none turn up and then two come along and its like that with Jacobites with me. Yes I have totally lost the plot and I am going for the third tartan wearing, warrior. This time its a return to the Jacobites, but in a more dramatic pose, I hope.

Gordon is Coming along.

I have finished the red on the soldier and next will be to tackle the kilt. I am please with the jacket colour, being the madder red colour of the British army and not the bright red seen is so many pictures. Strange that this colour quickly faded to a pinky colour in Spain. Here is the latest stage for the Highlander.

Poachers

Here is a couple of Poachers from Gripping Beast's Woodbine range and I have to say that they are rather nice figures. I little ealry for VBCW, more Edwardian, but nice all the same. These fellows willbe part of a toffs unit, all armed with shotguns, thinking The Hunting Party.

Hell Boy

Well here is something that I finished after getting a year and a half ago from Hasslefree. Kev White is a excellent sculptor and I think that he has managed to get the feel of Hell Boy right.
