It has been a while since I have posted or it seems a while and I am finding the motivation to do the blog, post in forums, etc a little hard. This is not because of any lack of mojo on my behalf its more a matter of time. Recently, as some of you will know, I have been very busy with my "real" job and have been trying for a promotion to an Executive Officer, team leader to you and me, and I got it and I am trying to find that balance at the moment.

All I did to change them as they are a little bright and plastic for my liking is to apply a browny/black wash to the whole tree, truck and leaves alike and set it to dry. I would advise sprayed the trees with cheap hair spray or varnish before hand as little clumps do fall off,

The bases dont come with any form of bases and have a simple rounded bottom to them. All I did was to cut the bottom off the rounded base and drilled a hole into the truck and attached a pin or wire to the base with hot glue and hot glued the tree to the base using the pin. Sanded and flocked as normal after.

The last ones I am going to talk about it the wire Green Elm Tree as they are a little different to the other trees I have got. The first difference is the truck and branches is made wire, which means they can be bent is any position you like. I have to say for Elms they really dont look like them but there are very nice trees giving that different look. As they have a wire truck fixing them to bases is a little easier by simple hammering the blunt end some it fans out a little and hot glueing it a the base.
All in all I have to say that they are a good buy especially for the price but if you will put a little work into them to make they will look stunning and a fine addition to any battlefield. I am now off to give some more.
